NISA Size Guide

Thoughtfully designed for coverage, comfort, and the way you move.

At NISA, we believe that finding the right fit should feel simple and reassuring.

Every piece is designed with intention — not only in how it looks, but in how it fits, feels, and moves with you.

Our silhouettes are thoughtfully created to offer comfortable coverage, ease of movement, and a naturally flowing appearance. Many of our garments are intentionally cut with additional room through the body, allowing the fabric to fall gently rather than cling closely to its contours.

Whether you prefer a petite length, a regular fit, or a longer silhouette, this guide is here to help you choose with confidence.

1. Understanding NISA Sizing

NISA uses two main sizing options on applicable product pages:

Size — Determines the garment's fit, width, and overall proportions.

Garment Length — Determines the approximate length of the garment from top to hem.

These options are selected separately, allowing you to choose the combination that best suits your proportions and preferred coverage.

Our Size Categories

Size Description
Small / Medium (S/M) A relaxed fit with comfortable room through the body
Large / X Large (L/XL) A more spacious fit where the garment's construction allows
One Size A generously designed silhouette without conventional fitted sizing

Our sizes describe garment construction rather than a guaranteed body-size range. We recommend reviewing the individual collection measurements before choosing.

2. NISA Garment Length Guide

Finding the right length can make a meaningful difference in how a garment looks and feels.

Our Garment Length system includes seven ranges, designed to help sisters explore different lengths according to their height, body proportions, and preferred silhouette.

Garment Length & Suggested Height Chart

Garment Length Suggested Wearer Height
50–52" Approximately 4'11"–5'1"
52–54" Approximately 5'1"–5'3"
54–56" Approximately 5'3"–5'5"
56–58" Approximately 5'5"–5'7"
58–60" Approximately 5'7"–5'9"
60–62" Approximately 5'9"–5'11"
62–64" Approximately 5'11"–6'1"

Important: These height recommendations are approximate starting points, not guaranteed fits. The same garment length may fall differently on two people of the same height due to body proportions, footwear, and garment construction.

How to Choose Your Preferred Length

Step 1 — Start with your height.

Use the chart above to identify a general length range.

Step 2 — Consider how you want your garment to fall.

For a longer, flowing silhouette, you may prefer approximately 1–2 inches of additional length compared with a garment that falls at your usual preferred hem position.

This is an optional styling preference, not a required allowance. Always consider whether additional length could cause the garment to touch or drag along the floor.

Step 3 — Compare with a garment you already own.

For the most reliable reference, measure a similar dress or abaya that falls at your preferred length.

Step 4 — Check the product's available variants.

Not every NISA piece is offered in every length range. Available combinations are displayed on the individual product page.

What Do Our Length Ranges Mean?

Our length ranges represent approximate finished garment lengths.

For example, a garment offered under 56–58" may measure approximately 57.5" or 58", depending on its design.

A length range does not mean that every individual length within that range is available for custom selection.

Garment Length refers to the clothing itself, not the wearer's height.

3. How to Read Our Garment Measurements

Understanding garment measurements is essential when choosing modestwear, particularly pieces designed with a relaxed silhouette.

Flat Width vs. Full Circumference

Flat Width

The width of the garment measured straight across while it is laid flat.

Full Circumference

The approximate measurement around a closed garment, generally calculated by doubling its flat width.

For example:

  • Bust measured flat: 21.5"

  • Approximate full bust circumference: 43"

These measurements describe the garment itself, not the body size it is intended to fit.

Understanding a Relaxed Fit

Many NISA garments are intentionally designed with additional room through the bust, waist, and hips.

This additional space, sometimes called ease, allows fabric to fall naturally without being closely fitted.

A garment measuring 43" around the bust does not mean that a 43" body bust will achieve the intended relaxed fit. Additional room is needed for comfort, movement, and the garment's designed silhouette.

Open-Front Garments

For cape abayas and other open-front designs, front and back panel widths are not equivalent to a conventional bust or waist circumference.

We list these measurements separately to help you understand the garment's structure and drape.

4. AURE — Silver Cape Abaya

Included in the AURE 2-Piece and AURE 3-Piece Sets.

AURE's Cape Abaya is intentionally designed with a generous, flowing silhouette that allows the fabric to fall naturally over the body.

Its open-front construction provides comfortable room for layering without a defined bust or waist.

Garment Measurement S/M L/XL
Front Hem Width (Each Side) 67" 67"
Back Hem Width 134" 134"
Silhouette Loose & Flowing Loose & Flowing

AURE Cape Fit Notes

The front hem measurement refers to the width of each individual front section along the bottom edge.

The back hem measurement refers to the width across the back bottom edge.

These measurements describe the cape's fabric construction, not a fitted body circumference.

Both sizes share the same recorded hem widths. The cape is designed to drape naturally rather than cling to the body.

Select your preferred garment length separately using the product options.

Measurement Inches Centimeters
Length 74.8" 190 cm
Width 27.6" 70 cm

The scarf is the same size for both S/M and L/XL sets.

5. AURE — Long Turtleneck Dress

Included in the AURE 3-Piece Set only.

The Long Turtleneck Dress is thoughtfully designed with a relaxed silhouette that offers comfortable coverage and natural movement.

Rather than following the body's contours closely, the dress features additional room through the bust, waist, and hips.

Its adjustable back waist ties allow gentle definition or can be left untied for a more relaxed fit.

Garment Measurement S/M Flat S/M Full L/XL Flat L/XL Full
Bust 21.5" 43" 23.5" 47"

Hips 25" 50" 27.5" 55"
Bottom Hem 37" 74" 39" 78"
Sleeve Length 24" — 25" —

AURE Dress Fit Notes

S/M offers a relaxed fit with a 43" bust, 45" untied waist, and 50" hip circumference.

L/XL provides additional room, with a 47" bust, 49" untied waist, and 55" hip circumference.

The dress is crafted from non-stretch woven fabric, so we recommend allowing comfortable room between your body measurements and the garment measurements.

Both sizes are intentionally designed for modest coverage rather than a closely fitted silhouette.

Garment length is selected separately on the product page.

6. RUMMAN & SAFHAH — Batwing Abayas

Our Batwing Abayas feature relaxed, flowing silhouettes with generous fabric panels and comfortable sleeves.

The design is intended to provide modest coverage, natural movement, and a softly draped appearance.

Batwing Abaya Size Chart

All measurements in inches.

Garment Measurement S/M L/XL
Front Bust Panel Width (Each Side) 22" 22.5"
Front Hem Width (Each Side) 18.5" 20"
Back Hem Width 40" 42"
Sleeve Length 26" 26.5"
Sleeve Width (Flat) 10" 10"

Batwing Fit Notes

The Batwing Abaya is intentionally designed with a loose, flowing construction that allows the fabric to fall naturally rather than cling to the body.

S/M offers a slightly narrower construction through the front panels and hem.

L/XL provides additional width while maintaining the same relaxed silhouette.

Front bust panel widths refer to individual fabric panels and should not be interpreted as full bust circumferences.

Sleeve width is measured flat, while sleeve length is measured along the sleeve.

Garment length is selected separately on the product page.

7. NOIR — Signature Cape Abaya

NOIR is designed with a fully lined, flowing silhouette and cape-cut sleeves that create graceful movement.

Its generous construction allows the fabric to drape naturally from the shoulders rather than follow the body's contours closely.

NOIR Size Chart

Garment Measurement Inches Centimeters
Front Length 60" 152 cm
Back Length 60" 152 cm
Front Width (Flat) 48" 122 cm

NOIR Fit Notes

NOIR is intentionally fluid and oversized in structure.

  • Fully lined for coverage

  • Cape-cut sleeves for natural movement

  • Wider back construction for an elegant drape

  • Designed to fall from the shoulders without clinging

The front and back widths describe the cape's fabric construction and should not be interpreted as conventional fitted bust or waist circumferences.

These are existing reference measurements and may be updated following physical garment verification.

8. Important Sizing Information

Garment Measurements vs. Body Measurements

Our size charts primarily provide garment measurements rather than recommended body-size limits.

Because many NISA pieces are intentionally designed with relaxed silhouettes, the garment measurements may be larger than your body measurements.

This additional room is part of the design and helps provide coverage, comfort, and freedom of movement.

Choosing Between Sizes

If you are between sizes, consider how you prefer your clothing to fit.

For a more spacious silhouette, you may prefer the larger option, where available.

For a slightly less generous fit, compare the smaller size's garment measurements with a similar piece you already own.

Choosing Garment Length

Your height is a useful starting point, but your proportions, footwear, and preferred hem position also influence the length you may find comfortable.

You may prefer an additional 1–2 inches for a flowing appearance, but this is optional and should not result in a hem that drags.

Measurement Variations

All measurements are approximate. Minor differences may occur due to fabric, construction, and measuring methods.

Not all collections are available in every size or garment length. Please refer to each product page for current options.

9. Scarf Size & Material Guide

NISA scarves are thoughtfully designed and selected for comfortable styling, versatile coverage, and an elegant drape.

Scarf Measurements

Scarf Size Dimensions (cm) Dimensions (inches) Material
190 × 70 cm 190 × 70 cm 74.8 × 27.6" 100% Polyester
180 × 70 cm 180 × 70 cm 70.9 × 27.6 " 100% Modal

Scarf Fit & Styling Notes

All scarves are One Size.

  • 190 × 70 cm: A longer, narrower silhouette offering versatility for wrapping and layering.

  • 180 × 70 cm: A wider silhouette offering additional fabric across the width for flexible styling and chest coverage.

All measurements represent the scarf's length and width. Slight variations may occur due to fabric and finishing.
